Eli - As I read the full document authored by Mehta and Nevel, I had a feeling of abhorrence; it was like entering a realm of intellectual scoliosis where words and meanings are contorted into some sort of ugly ideological context. I suppose it’s the sermonizing that I find revolting, its simplistic and reductionist tone that’s so sincerely intended to educate and enlighten. It’s a shame the authors haven’t enough self-awareness even to sense the possible errors and harms of their shared delusions.

Unfortunately the overreaction to the "pro" Palestinian encampments on the universities, building occupations, manifested by special legislation and congressional hearings have given special "victim" status to those pro Palestinian demonstrators. It is never good for government to limit speech or peaceful demonstration.
Listening to the chants that the demonstrators bleat and the physical blocking of Jewish students leads directly to the rotten anti-semitic ideology that is Islamism. The players like CAIR and many other harmless seeming campus groups that attract muslim students have an agenda. We should not force them underground.
While the suffering of civilians in Gaza is not a small thing, the reality that Hamas, the spawn of the Muslim Brotherhood, is responsible for the war and its resulting casualties. Who is bringing that situation out in the light? It is covered up with the virtue signaling, Keffiya wearing Liberation Idealogues. I'm sure most grade school teachers are clueless about the dynamics of Israel existing next to populations who hold a religious mandated hate for Jews. Watching Islamists lead prayers at a demonstration is a clue to their penetration, but the numb nutted intelligencia in the US think it is exotic and "peaceful'.

Given the power of the teacher's union it's impossible to fire a teacher even if they're teaching straight out of Mein Kampf and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. I'd like to see some antisemitic heads broken, but that is probably too much to hope for.
