I think the more that there is cross pollanization ( so to speak) on these important topics the more your critical message ( and FACTS) can be learned and digested. This is one of the only ways to help reverse the harmful educational indoctrination that has been so harmful to so many aspects of our lives and the country over the past two decades in particular.
I'e seen What Killed Michael Brown? three times: on Vimeo when it was first released, and two more times on Amazon. Its production values are superb due to the great jazz inflected soundtrack, the immediacy of the cinematography and news footage, and the narration which interweaves politics, history and the truth. There's no pandering here. Don't miss it.
“What Killed” is helpful counterpoint to what is currently taught in high schools. The film is both beautiful and powerful in challenging the prevailing stereotypes, low key to the point of being totally disarming. Eli you are a masterful filmmaker. History needs to be studied and examined, not simply told and regurgitated. “What Killed” provides the level of detail historians should demand. Brilliant.
It's a fascinating documentary but also a terrifying one. That a narrative pushed hard enough can become seen as the truth. Something that we are unfortunately seeing more and more frequently.

Who Killed Michael Brown? debunks the lie that Officer Darren Wilson killed Michael Brown in a racially motivated shooting while his hands were up and he was surrendering. This has now been proven to have been all nonsense. Michael Brown stole a cigarette and intimidated an innocent man. He then didn’t listen when Officer Wilson when he told him to get out of the street. Then he attacked him and try to kill him when he tried to bring him in quietly. Michael Brown never put his hands up at any point. The late Dorian Johnson lied about that. Officer Wilson shot Brown to save his own life. The press, the Democratic Party and activists lied about or perpetuated the lies about the incident. I’m glad Eli is exposing the truth to the American people.
