You’re missing the easier argument. Cancellation is the literal cancelling of the ability of the speaker to speak. Ackman and others efforts are the opposite. They actually promote both the speaker and their statement and allows the marketplace of ideas to judge as it will. This is the essence of free speech, the opposite of cancel.
