Happy Friday all,
I wanted to share two things with you before the weekend.
First, I thought I’d share my tweet on merit. I’ve been working with a great team on the Killing America documentary and one of our members is Christine Linnenbach who heads the Friends of Lowell Foundation. It was her that introduced me to the #meritmatters slogan that she and the Asian community has been using to counter the radical San Francisco School Board that is intent on dismantling merit. That fight inspired me to write the following:
A follower suggested that we convert the above post to a t-shirt, and so we did, creating a limited run for fun. :)
If you would like to order one, please click here. We receive 9 bucks per sale and we’ll apply it to the White Guilt film. A little more positive looking that those BLM shirts, don’t you think?
Diana Blum who is featured in the Killing America documentary wrote a compelling opinion piece for the Jewish Journal yesterday. When my father talks about finding the courage to shed white guilt — the fear of being stigmatized as a racist and more — he is talking about people like Diana. When antisemitism exploded in her kids’ high school after October 7, she did not back down from questioning school officials over why they were removing honors classes and injecting many classes with toxic liberated ethnic studies — despite her family paying a huge and ongoing price.
Here’s her piece that offers more insight:
...in the heart of Silicon Valley, where the 'misinformation' police are out on the prowl so everyone can feel like they 'belong,' antisemitic propaganda is repeatedly condoned in the classrooms, and the suffering of Jewish students is despicably ignored...
I first learned about the banalities of evil from my grandpa Srul, a Holocaust survivor who watched his Romanian neighbors convince themselves that violence is justifiable when it is for a 'greater good' actually characterized by evil. Barbarism was deemed defensible then, just like the horrors of Oct. 7 are being legitimized today. Yesterday’s Nazis have become today’s 'freedom fighters,' as activist teachers rewrite history for the next generation of Jew haters. Those who learn history, of course, concede that it only starts with the Jews, and what we are seeing today is an attack on classical liberal values: those that ended slavery, gave women the right to vote and legalized gay marriage. Western Civilization is now defined as 'white supremacy,' as postmodernism ushers in Medievalism 2.0..."

We’re still working on the screenings for Killing America and you will be the first to know. Also, a huge thank you to the people that have donated to this effort to spread the word of Killing America - I will be in touch with the tax-deductible letters soon. You don’t know how much this helps us since we’ve been doing this volunteer work - I made this film at cost — because we believe that countering the negative forces with our pro-American principles message is huge part of the pushback. If you wish to help, you can click on the red button on top of this website and make a tax-deductible donation.
That is it for now and wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
Eli
I found Diana Blum's essay to be compelling witness to what is happening today -- thank you for providing the link. The clear inference, which she didn't even need to articulate, is that those who are teaching our children (or directing those who are teaching our children) believe they know better and that their mission righteous. Or, alternatively, they are weak willed and do not have the moral fiber to resist what is on its face a bankrupt ideology.
Right on!!!!
By the way I would like the t shirt but when I clicked it led me to nothing.
