I started reading Sowell when I was around 15 maybe. Hard to think of a living thinker who have been more influential for my thinking personally. It’s one of my big regrets that I was never able to meet him personally, but I always got the sense from listening to him and reading his books that he is an exceptionally humane gentleman.

I have many of the soul man’s books but it’s like reading 4000 level undergrad that feels like 10000 level 🤣 didn’t complete most 😱

We have read 2 or 3 of his books and he is truly wonderful. Thomas Sowell should live to 120 in good health. As your mother might have said, "gesunt und shtark!"

After reading your article, I ordered the book and I'm enjoying it. There is no one else like Sowell to show us how our calamities and failures here at home in the present time have been shared by other people throughout the past, and all over the world. While he makes the case time and again that history is the best teacher, I am convinced that Sowell's work is the best history.
